Blue Lyme Grass

Enjoy year-round color with Blue Lyme Grass or Leymus arenarius 'Blue Dune. Narrow foliage is a silvery blue that coordinates well with companion plants with purple or blue flowers. Blue Lyme Grass is cold and heat tolerant, so it will look stunning all year, but it is particularly good at adding color to a winter landscape. Flower plumes emerge in late summer and add some extra texture. Blue Lyme Grass adds unique color and texture to a space and works well as a ground cover. Include this grass near the back of a mixed bed, or use it along a walkway or to frame a mailbox.
