Full Speed A Hedge® Thin Man® Arborvitae

If you are looking for a fast-growing evergreen for structure or privacy, then the Full Speed A Hedge® Thin Man® arborvitae might just be the answer. Growing to around 15 feet high, the Full Speed A Hedge® Thin Man® remains thin and is perfect for spots where space is limited. This skinny Thuja occidentalis produces lush green growth and being evergreen, will not drop its foliage over winter. The Full Speed A Hedge® Thin Man® is native to North America, cold hardy and suitable for growing in zones 3 through 7. Being a narrow cultivar, it forms elegant upright columns, which are ideal for providing screening. Whether used to form a fast-growing hedge or for planting in groups or individually, the Full Speed A Hedge® Thin Man® provides great height and structure. Full Speed A Hedge® Thin Man® Arborvitae Care The Full Speed A Hedge® Thin Man® prefers to be grown in full to partial sun. It can cope with most soils as long as they are free draining and not overly acidic or alkaline. Although fairly drought tolerant once established, regular watering is required upon planting and for the first few seasons. Although not strictly necessary, you can feed this Arborvitae with a slow-release, balanced feed in early spring to give it a boost. As a low maintenance Thuja, minimal pruning is required, but you can lightly trim it as required. Being cold hardy, it does not require any extra winter care, although heavy snow can be carefully brushed off to prevent any branch damage. Full Speed A Hedge® Thin Man® Arborvitae Spacing When mature, the Full Speed A Hedge® Thin Man® can reach a height of 12 to 15 feet with a spread of 3 to 5 feet. For a dense hedge, you can plant Thin Man® at a spacing of 2.5 feet, or further apart for a more defined shape.
